In 1940 there was much fear that Hitler would invade England, which resulted in producing "Operation Cone of Power" on Lammas Day, August 1. Hundreds of witches from covens throughout southern England gathered skyclad in New Forest to send Hitler and his generals telepathic thoughts to stay out of England. The German armies never invaded the country. Whether or not the witches' messages were beneficial is not certain.But, thirty-one years later in 1971, on Lammas Day, California witches gathered together to perform a similar ceremony to end the war in Vietnam.
Is it perhaps time to use the collective will of the Wiccan and Pagan community's. To stop this "major humanitarian disaster" that could occur if the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah does not stop soon.
If we are not too late, last time I checked we where not. Perhaps a 'cone of power' can be summoned for this propose, on a larger scale, I understand that the cone is usually created with in the magickal circle and most times a connection must be made, like holding hands...Maybe we are in the circle of the atmosphere already, the circle of our galaxy as well, we are encircled. Maybe instead of holding hands we can all touch the ground, outside and send out energies and thoughts via the magma tubes or the earths crust...one must surly be a conductor of energy/s. Any thoughts or idea would be welcome, if we can all do the same ritual and spell on LAMMAS -Aug 1st, then it will collect and combine.
I propose the following; Casting a magickal circle and each person create their own cone of power, but instead of it going infinitely upwards, lets bend ours to the earth, and first strengthen her for the possible on coming battle, I'm sure it will take it's toll on her in one way or another. Then send the cone twisting and riding the lava or magma tubes towards the middle east, everyone bring up a mammoth cone of power of brilliant white light, encircling all if Israel and Lebanon.
Cast a Witches Circle. Resite the rite, to sanctify the circle as a magickal cirle. From the circle recite the spells verse to completion. Give thanks and offerings. Close the witches Circle.
I am working on gathering information on the best posible way to do this, we have till Lammas. What do you all think? Can we do this?

Might as well throw in Iraq too since that is also in the same area of the world and is actually more like Vietnam with ongoing guerilla strikes... and of course Israel & Hezbolla fighting cannot be good. Yeah, I can join this but won't be doing it from a "witches circle" perspective.... I do have a stone circle, would burn sage, and send the energy. As far as being skyclad.... where I live that is very easy to do on my own land... but the bugs are terrible! Anyways, yes, post a reminder here next week when it's almost Aug 1, it can't hurt.
You mentioned the cone riding lava tubes as in inside the earth. I've usually sent such energies through the air....

Yes Iraq would be good to add in as well, it couldnt hurt....I heard Israel liken it to Vietnam the other day, they said for the jewish army to head back into Lebanon is like the US going back to Vietnam...
Your right, the traditional way for one to erect a cone of power is skyward, infinitly raising...I think i mentioned that..My hopes in directing energys through the lava tudes is to first prepair the earth for the battle...then follow the magma tube to the middle east and release it there, ecreting a cone of power...skyward, but around the region, Iraq included. A suprise attack if you will, just poping up from the strengthened earth.
A stone circle sounds wondeful and powerful, makes me smile...a stone circle, a wizards or witches circle would all work well for the cone of power. I am casting a carfully messured circle of Salt and Flower, I will then cast the magickal circle over that with a wand, with incence a candle and water as well...However one wants to send positive life energys to the cone is welcome, I have the beginings of my ritual that I will post for people to scrutanize over, use or not.....thank you for trying this will me.

1. Determine the circumference of your circle. Also determine the four directions and mark them with candles or directional markers.
2. Set up your altar or your work space, it can be a small table, a formal altar, or even a piece of silk or cloth on the floor. Make sure everything you need for the ritual is handy. (Witches place it in the East; some North, you can place it where you like)
4. Light candles and incense , before you begin ground and center. Focus your energy on the task at hand. The traditional way to cast is with your athame (magickal knife) or your coven sword. If you don't have these, use your dominant hand (the one you write with.) I like to use my Wand, I will use the Athame but I really like my wand/s
5. Starting in the North, hold your wand pointed out and down and begin to walk slowly clockwise around the circumference. Visualize energy or white light traveling down your arm, through your wand and forming a barrier of energy as you walk. It is important to remember that the circle is actually spherical; a bubble of energy that extends over your head and under the ground. Take your time and visualize this; you may even begin to feel the energy as heat or vibration. The circle is complete when you reach North again.
Casting the circle verse: ----------------------------- God within, Goddess within. God without, Goddess without. God and Goddess as one. As above, it is below. The circle continues Always open Never broken As above, it is below. so mote it be.
6. After casting your circle you can consecrate it with each element if you want to increase the power of the circle. This is optional, but I feel it adds some energy to the initial circle casting. Just take each element in turn and walk the circumference of the circle. Sprinkle some salt for Earth; carry some lit incense for Air; carry a lit candle for Fire; sprinkle some water for Water.
7. Call the quarters. With your wand hand raised, stand and face North, and follow and turn in each direction as wrote below.

SAY;
Before me, RAPHAEL.! Spirit of Earth,Guardian of the North Stone, Bless me with your strength,stability and courage. I welcome you. Behind me, GABRIEL. ! Spirit of Fire,Guardian of the South Stone,Bless me with your passion energy and light. I welcome you. At my right hand, MICHAEL. ! Spirit of Water,Guardian of the West Stone,Bless me with positive emotion,intuition and depth. I greet you. At my left hand, AURIEL. ! Spirit of Air,Guardian of the East Stone,Bless me with your speed intelligence and clarity. I greet you. I welcome the Spirit,Who is within and is without. Bless me with patience, compassion and unity. As above, it is below. so mote it be.
Once that is done, you can invoke the God/Goddess of your choosing. I will be using Morgan, the Celtic Moon Goddess, Who I have quite the 'love affair' with and Jehovah, Both the Christian and Jewish God of creation. Then the circle is formally cast!
At this point is when one would get into the circle and through visualization, vibratory chanting or repetitive mantras, or other means begin to erect the cone of power, the cones base should be with in the circle, where you are and flow skywards into infinite space, traditionally.
When the ritual is completed, the circle must be closed. Just do everything in reverse order; thank the deities, the elements, and close the circle. To close the circle, just begin in the North and walk counter clock wise with your athame or wand. This time, visualize the energy being pulled back into your wand/athame and the circle being "uncreated."
**any comments are welcome to this post - I will be editing and adding it as I finish the posting... **I use the North, instead of east as my starting point, if you choose east then you will have to rearrange the calling of the quarters to fit your needs.

Sorry if it sounds like I'am teaching in that last post, as it is from my blog -so I was writing for both newcommers and old mages of magick...Iam not trying to teach just posting the spell. It has numbered instructions for the newcommers to magick..Us that know the steps simply look at the spell.
I also cut out numbe 3..#3 was simply to double check that you have everything you will need...but i felt that was going alittle far..

Well we certainly all have our own methods, coming from differing traditions, but I think the important thing is that we have the same intention and focus.

Granted, I feel any method for adding positive, protective, spiritual energys to the cone are welcome, sorry...I was merly giving an example....I have other methods as well, I practice from a wide range of systems of things...but only systems that are found on the Wheel of truths...
The messages in the examples of the two cones of power where simple; "Stay out of england" "Stop the war". I Think the message we send in this cone should also be simple. What do you all think of this as the message "STOP God is watching" or "Stop Jehovah is watching" perhaps just "Stop the fighting"..let me know..
This example is a mixer of Christiananity and Paganisum, I personaly believe that the Gods of the situation or the God/Goddess of the people afflicted should be the one evoked or summoned to 'repair' the situation...as Isreal is one of the aflicted I thought that 'Yahwhee' or Jehovah - the christian god would be good to evoke...as they also worship that God...So I incorprated the Arch angels as well.
Diona` or Morgan, or any other God or Goddess, Demon, angel, entity,deity, dragon,faery king or whatever that you want to summon or evoke are all welcome, as the region is surly now being closly watched by the 'all mighty spirit'.
If you do anything today...can you please watch this short video. It is the children that suffer, and in the end when that happens, we all suffer. I am sure that Lebanon and Isreal look very simular today.

Thankyou Raven Wolf, you correct..that is what I was saying. I feel that ANY religion, magicka, or system of things that one wants to use to harness power from is fine..providing it is a system from with in the wheel of truth, in other words, anything that is NOT self created or man made, (EG: Joseph smiths -the book of morman is man made)
The Focuse again here is not me, or what system we all should use, but projecting the message and energys to that area, and hopfully change peoples will to fight, there is a week left till lammas day...I hope things do not increase to such a level that a cone would prove unafective.

For the Cone of power; Here are some versions of the mantra, If you choose to use a mantra. The programs and methods I used was the program and method from Chaos Spell Caster version 1.0., The Book of Zen mantra forming, Tibet mantra. depending on the method of letter selection;

I have asked other pagan communitys to join in the Cone on Aug1st. So far there are peoples from three sites willing to perform something on Aug1st.

Wow, Just an update on the Cone of Power, There are about 30 people going to send power to the region and the cone now, two coverns are interested in the project, One from Canada and one in Los Vagas, people in Australia as well are planing to send power, as well as other in other online pagan communitys....I'm excited

I was asked for help in an email today about the cone; so I thought I would post my responce here as well, people want an example of what should be done...so here is one.;

I have been asked in an email to provide a more detailed description of what should take place for the Cone of Power. Whether or not the witches' messages were beneficial is not certain.But, thirty-one years later in 1971, on Lammas Day, California witches gathered together to perform a similar ceremony to end the war in Vietnam. 35 years later...Tomorrow ,a great number of Pagans and witches are gathering under the same 'operation'. Ritual Summary Ritual fires are welcome with in the circle but must be cast first before starting the ritual. Here is a summary for the Cone of Power, it can be used as a whole ritual or can be used as a template for creating your own ritual, as long as the vibration is the same as the mantra 'stop the war-stop the fighting' Cast a circle -witch or magicians circle. Sanctify the circle as a magickal circle. From with in the circle recite the spell verse to completion. using a mantra recite it until your visualization is complete. Give thanks and offerings close the circle 1) Casting a witches Circle.
If it is just for yourself you will simply need what is known as the Crown to heel measurement, Iam 5'10 so that's about 70inches from the crown of my head to the base of my heel. If you are in a group you will need everyone's crown to heel measurement, add then together to form the new calculation for the circles circumference. (this could be one of the reasons traditional coverns have only 13 members, among other reasons I'm sure) If you don't want to use the combined measurement from a group these measurements as well have been used; a seven or nine foot circle, or the combined measurements of everyone's arms, tip to tip hands stretched out like a star, measure from index finger to index finger, add everyone's measurements to form the circle. Casting the circle 2) High Priest/ess, When casting the circle, make the measurements and then trace it out with salt, sea salt is best, but any salt will do..While you are tracing it out in salt recite the following verse. When finished goto the middle of the circle and cast the same circle with a wand while reciting the same verse, no wand?.. Your index finger will do, up high above your head. This circle is invisible -to some - magic circle. This circle connects you to the powers and allows their energies to 'focus' in on the "material" circle you have created: with you in the middle. Here is an example of a circle casting verse. Others 'can' follow on the outside of the circle with incense, candles, and water.

Calling the Quarters; or calling the elements, or addressing the Corners,
Addressing the corners, calling the Quarter, invocation of the elements, is all a personal doing. Here is a good example of the Calling of the Quarters. This will add extra power to your spells and verse. After Casting the circle you will need to address the four corners. High Priest or Priestess, Stand in the middle of your cast circle. As you reside each verse face the direction that each verse commands. Mark the end of each verse with a touch from a wand, in the appropriate spot on the circle. Everyone else stand outside the circle until the corner verse is finished.

Lord and Lady enter this circle in Peace, Make an alter of my body, andGrant me Wisdom and Guidance, as I perform my rites. So mote it be. If one wishes you can replace Cernunnos with - ENKI, Lord of Magicians of this side, or what could be called "White Magicians". In the Sumerian battle between Good and evil, light and Dark, Marduk won. Cone of Power Ok so now is the time to start the Cone of Power ritual; traditionally the Cone is erected with in a circle and directed skyward infinity raising. In Neo-pagan witchcraft this is a field of psychic energy or power produced in unison by a coven or group of witches. Witches usually join hands, frequently within the magic circle, while dancing around and chanting to raise the power. The process also employs visualization. The circle is the bottom of the cone. the witches or persons within the circle produce the power which rises to the apex of the cone which extends into infinity. When this psychic power peaks in intensity it is released through the apex to accomplish a goal such as to heal or cast a spell. So this is what we want you to do; -- after you have completed the above rituals and verse, all hold hands and start an agreed mantra; I will provide some examples. Start the mantra chant low in volume and low in tone. Start to move in a clockwise direction, continuing the chant. After one complete rotation for every one person in the group, raise the volume and pitch of the chant, continue the mantra chant as well as start the visualization of the cone, the circle is the base, you are the people moving in the base, stirring up energy. While continuing the chant raise the volume slowly as well as raising the tone or pitch of the mantra, continue dancing or walking around the circle clockwise, while chanting the mantra. Continue with the elevation of tone and volume all the while increasing the height, and speed of the cone. envision the cone sparking as it turns, changing all the colors of the rainbow, from red, to orange to yellow and green then to blue and violet. The vibratory chant and the elevation in tone and volume should elevate the emotion of the group as you go around, all muster up as much positive emotion as you can and project that mantra thought into the cone, do this on every complete turn of the circle, re-project energy into the cone, all the while maintaining the mantra; Now traditionally the Cone would go skyward, but this time we want it to go to the earth first, to strengthen her for the battle, we will use the magma (lava) tubes for travel. Just before the Apex of the cone explodes into infinity space skyward, all reach down and touch the earth with your hands and envision that cone turning inside and sucking its self into the earth, envision the multi color cone traveling at light speed through magma tubes under the earths crust. Follow the cone as it lifts fallen rocks back in place and stops lava overflows. When you feel it has reached the region of Lebanon,Israel and Iraq, then envision the cone exploding out of the ground in a fantastic display of brilliant multi-colour lights, sparking and swirling skyward, envision streams of multi-colour rivers from all part of the globe filling into the Cone of power, raising the height to infinite levels. When you have envisioned the Cone at its maximum height, explode the mantra thought out of the apex of the cone, With a final emotional push release your last of the energies to the Cone with a forced out breath, push hard with open mouth..Stop once your visualization is complete, step out of the circle and wait for the others. When all are finished the HighPreist/ess should now Close the Circle. (Snuff or blow out any candle.) Say again Hail and farewell. Standing to the South, hold out your right hand Palm outward Say: Hail and farewell to the powers of the South Wind, I say this ceremony is now done and I bid you Hail and farewell. (Snuff or blow out any candle.) Say again Hail and farewell. Standing to the West, hold out your right hand Palm outward Say: Hail and farewell to the powers of the West Wind, I say this ceremony is now done and I bid you Hail and farewell. (Snuff or blow out any candle.) Say again Hail and farewell. Standing to the North, hold out your right hand Palm outward Say: Hail and farewell to the powers of the North Wind, I say this ceremony is now done and I bid you Hail and farewell. Standing back to the East, Take up your Athame or wand and cut along the eastern line of the circle (breaking the circle) while doing this say: Hail to thee My Lady Diona`. I bid you Hail and farewell . The circle is broken. The Magic has been done. Hail and farewell. Blessed Be Diona`Farewell.
Again this is an example ritual, if you disagree with any of it, change where change is needed, I will be following this but on a solidarity mission. Blow out any altar candles and step out of the circle. Your work has been done. I hope this helps as a guide line for other, lets hope this works or changes something. Thankyou Raven wolf, I too went out last night at 3:00am I waited to. I had gone out last night to do the rite, IT all went well I believe.. All was good untill the end, after I broke the circle and left my gift, I was faced with some ones Dogs, two large Dogs...one all white one all black..they barked and growled at me... Was interesting, thought some one was getting a wand in the Eye for a minute...anyways all is well and the ritual was complete.. no Dog bites so far LOL
Thanks again for participating with me; I figure 6 weeks or less we should see a result, anything over 6 weeks i would feel is a failer...or lack of results.
